Purpose and goal
Both in terms of the report´s quality and dissemination we believe that we have exceeded the goals envisioned at the planning of this project.
Results and expected effects
A chief success of this program is the attention gained by informal investors. Gathering over 100 informal investors for a policy workshop in a Friday is something the Ratio institute has not managed Before, nor any other organization that we know of. The report has already been widely reported and spread in the media and among academics, investors, and policymakers.
Approach and implementation
Research Assistant Michel Laufer has worked on the project throughout the fall and the first part of spring, funded by the project. Associate professors Karl Wennberg (SSE) and Henrik Berglund (Chalmers) and Connect Öst´s CEO Lillemor Svensson has worked without compensation as co-authors of the report. Project management has been carried out by Dr Karl Wennberg. Ratio contributed infrastructure, press and conference expenses. Michel Laufer has applied to the PhD program at the Stockholm School of Economics to continue his research on informal venture capital.
