Purpose and goal

The project will develop an AI-based routine support for the employees, we call it RiTA - the right information for the user. The purpose of RiTA is to contribute to increased efficiency and quality by facilitating compliance with routines and other governing documents. In addition to building an AI-based routine support, the goal of the project is also to explore the practical possibilities for and increase organizational learning around AI in the public sector. RiTA gives us the opportunity to test, gain knowledge about and demonstrate the potential of AI in municipalities.

Expected results and effects

RiTA, a small-scale and well-defined use case that applies non-sensitive data, gives us the opportunity to test, build knowledge about and demonstrate the potential of AI in municipalities. RiTA will facilitate employees´ navigation among routines and documents. In this way, all employees will benefit from the developed product, but also gain direct experience of how AI can be applied in their everyday lives something we hope will inspire them to identify further opportunities with AI in municipalities.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be carried out in six work packages: AP1: Mapping, collection and structuring of data AP2: Solution adaptations AP3: Solution adaptations - interface adaptations AP4: Testing and revision of the solution AP5: Start of implementation and anchoring in the whole AMF AP6: Follow up research In all work packages employees from Uppsala municipality, ATEA and Uppsala University will participate. Great focus will be placed on anchoring and spreading information about RiTA.
