Purpose and goal
The aim of the project was to have a positive and basic film show the good use and value of open data to staff at GLAM institutions. The film fulfills the goal by showing GLAM staff sharing their experiences and knowledge. A problem with the film is that only representatives at large GLAM institutions are participating. The views and perspectives of smaller GLAMs are not shown in the film.
Expected results and effects
The film gives a positive image of open data by the quotes and comments the participants gives. Staff and GLAM institutions who has not already opened up their data will hopefully find inspiration to start working with open data and take the steps needed to open up and make data available and more useful.
Planned approach and implementation
The project got a slow start and as the communications manager of Wikimedia Sweden ended their employment other staff continued with the process of making the film. A huge interest to participate in the film changed the need to travel, and more time and focus wasput in to the interviews thus giving a broader view of working with open data.
