Nearly 100 organisations have been involved in the work, which has created a wide network and a lot of new technology and business-related meetings and contacts. We have together with many different industry-sectors, academia, institutes, etc., agreed on a national vision, goals and a strategy.

The process has been driven by LIGHTer, our national cross-industry lightweight arena (www.lighterarena.se), and been open to all who are interested in lightweight solutions. A number of workshops have been held with various themes. Industry-based lightweight cases and other types of analyses such as lightweight trends, lightweight potential have been carried out. A project team was created, consisting of 15 organisations. Process manager was Swerea.
