New material can solve society’s challenges
Graphene is a new material that is likely to be able to resolve several of the major societal challenges of today such as health, clean and efficient energy and smart and environmentally friendly transports. Examples of its area of use include new lightweight materials with unique electrical and thermal properties, new energy transfer and storage opportunities, gas and biosensors and new packaging material.
The objective is for Sweden to become one of the world’s leading countries in the use of graphene. The strategic innovation programme, Graphene, is working to establish graphene within Swedish industry, to strengthen the knowledge transfer between different industries and to contribute to the Swedish graphene based products reaching the market, for example through announcements.
