Reference number
Coordinator Encubator AB - wyberry Technologies
Funding from Vinnova SEK 2 000 000
Project duration April 2013 - March 2015
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The purpose is to validate and verify the technical and commercial properties needed to commercialize the new technology for high-capacity wireless data transfer. This we have achieved through developing a functioning prototype that had been tested in field and we have had our first paying customer.

Expected results and effects

Following below are the biggest milestones that we have achieved during this journey (you can find all in the attached PDF) *Initial target market & application scenario identified *Two letters of intent signed *Product concept finished *Minimum viable product up and running, with established collaborations with suppliers *Product demonstration held at Swedish Microwave Days where we demonstrated for many (10+) interested potential customers *Booked field tests *Innovation loan from VGR granted *Pilot study made *First paying customer *International Launch at IBC

Planned approach and implementation

At the initiation of this project we believed that we shall do this commercialization in partnership with Lumenradio. However, the two parties couldn´t agree on any common ground as we hade different agendas. This was a big learning experience for us. However, we continued to develop the technology ourselves for a period of time and now we are potentially entering an technology partnership with another prominent company. We have learned many lessons in the process and it has been tough. All the lessons that we have learned is presented in the attached report.
