Important results from the project
The purpose of Appland´s Vinnova project was to develop a subscription club for apps where the end user pays a fixed monthly fee for renting access to mobile applications. The project has been executed according to plan and today a fully working prototype exists, that is used for demonstration purpose to telecom operators across the globe.
Expected long term effects
The prototype is now used in a field trial in Mexico together with the world´s fourth largest telecom operator America Movil for approximately 10,000 end users. We see large traction and we have ongoing discussions with approximately 20 operators across the globe.
Approach and implementation
The project has been executed according to the work process SCRUM, which is a systematic way of developing software. The process has been of great assistance to make the right decisions at the right time and has supported prioritization in development and verification of functionality.
