Purpose and goal

The purpose of PEA 2.0 is commercializing Printed elektrnonics through spin-offs and technology transfer to established firms and to establish PEA Manufacturing as a national and international center for printed electronics. PEA has reached the goal and purpose by working methodically to spin off and establish collaborations with industry and R & D actors in Sweden and internationally. PEA has also participated in EU projects in which pilot plant PEA Manufacturing has functioned as a demo for EU on how to run an open pilot line to give the give a good offering for development to companies.

Expected results and effects

The results of PEA 2.0 is three spin-offs from the PEA and an open license for a printed display technology that 2 industries have purchased. PEA can also report co-financing from companies in development projects according to the criteria set for the project as a proof that the industry is investing in printed electronics. PEA has also been appointed to the national competence hub for printed electronics. PEA has also achieved the goal to do tech-transfer to Swedish companies. The pilot line PEA-M has received funding for a major investment in infrastructure from a private foundation.

Planned approach and implementation

PEA has followed the plan in the application of PEA 2.0 and focused on activities that are oriented towards PEA target groups, Industry, Entrepreneurs and Capital. The project owners to PEA , Acreo, LIU and NOSP, have a strong consensus on what is the most important tasks and that the PEA is the platform to use for the continued work on the commercialization of printed electronics. The Board is strongly committed to PEA and gives good support to the process manager. PEA has structured its work according to the business model canvas which has given a clear picture of what to do, for, and by whom.
