Funding from Vinnova SEK 200 000
Project duration August 2014 - March 2015
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

We think that the aims and objectives of the platform have been reached. The platform is established and some additional partners joined the platform during the consolidation phase. We have gathered Swedish expertise within all subareas of the SwafS programme and built on our European contacts. In our view, the possibilities for future advocacy work are numerous.

Results and expected effects

The project description of the proposal states the following: ´The short-term effect of the project is to gather relevant SwafS actors in Sweden. The long-term effect of the project is to strengthen Swedish participation in the SwafS programme.´ Considering the diverse actors in the platform, we can definitely say that we have gathered the relevant actors. The members of the platform are very committed to the objectives of the platform, so we expect to fruitfully work together to increase Swedish participation in this subprogramme.

Approach and implementation

The work was coordinated by Vetenskap & Allmänhet, and the members of the platform joined a specific sub group. During the project, we have seen a positive development when it comes to the understanding of different ways to inform future developments of H2020, and also the importance of our individual European connections in our joint efforts to strengthen the SwafS area in Sweden. The meetings we have held in the context of the platform have proved very useful in this respect.
