Evaluation of Vinnova´s program “Gender and Diversity for Innovation”
|Coordinator||Lunds universitet - CIRCLE|
|Funding from Vinnova||SEK 793 234|
|Project duration||January 2019 - December 2019|
Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is to evaluate Vinnova´s program "genus och mångfald för innovation". In particular, we will analyse if and how the program has brought about normcritical innovations and whether or not they have had impacts on the wider system. We are interested in identifying different mechanisms and pathways that lead to normcritical innovations and explore the role of policy for the creation and diffusion of such innovations.
Expected results and effects
We expect to get a better understanding of the nature and characteristics of normcritical innovation and the processes through which they are created and have an impact in the wider system. Furthermore, we expect to gain knowledge on the role of policy for fostering these types of innovations. Therefore, the results will inform the design of future innovation policy, in particular concerning policies that aim to be normcritical.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will run from January to December 2019. We will conduct literature studies to give an overview of the idea of normcritical innovation. This will then be followed by a broader analysis of all projects conducted under the program in order to get an idea of the type of innovations created, in what sectors and by which actors. Some projects will then be chosen for an in-depth qualitative analysis of the innovation journey of the respective product or service in order to analyse specific mechanisms involved in the creation of normcritical innovations.
