Purpose and goal
The aim of the project is to reduce the need for extensive experimental testing in heat treatment of steel and contribute to the transition to an efficient, digital and data-driven working method, which means reduced costs and lead times for the development and manufacture of steel.
Expected results and effects
The project enables steel developers and manufacturers to further optimize their products based on the intended area of use. The lifespan and function of the products in the final application can thus be improved with a more sustainable and competitive industry as a result.
Planned approach and implementation
The project develops two machine learning-based modules for prediction of process parameters in heat treatment. The basis for the development is a market analysis based on quantitative and qualitative studies of the industry´s need for prediction software for the heat treatment process.
