Purpose and goal
The development project contributes to the adaption to a circular economy by focusing on designing and offering sustainable circular signage products and business models for exterior and interior business communication. A system for recirculating materials will also be developed. The project will be communicated both to businesses in the trade of signs but also to the business sector in general in order to inspire other businesses to develop circular business models and products.
Expected results and effects
The main outcome is to be a national example of how a company in the trade of signs can apply circular economy by innovation of circular products, business models and systems for recirculation. The aim is to push the adaptation to a circular economy which will lead to a sustainable growth and job opportunities. The effects of the project will contribute to the national environmental goals by supporting sustainable consumption and waste reduction, extraction of raw materials and use of energy.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is based on the results of the feasibility study with a project plan consisting of six work packages. Within the work packages Developing of business models, Product design and Systems for recirculation, the central dimensions of the project will be developed and there lies the projects main focus. The work packages Governance, Communication, dissemination of results and stakeholder dialogue, and A study of actual transition to a circular economy supports the central work packages.
