Important results from the project
The housing market works poorly in many municipalities and especially for those who find it difficult to solve their housing. This project, Smart housing, aims to offer more players better analyzes of their housing market and a reliable tool through the provision of housing. In this way, those who need help can be supported in arranging their accommodation. It is about more efficient and more qualified housing analyzes and conveying more housing based on criteria other than just queuing time, eg needs. The project is attracting interest and several new players have joined Stage 2.
Expected long term effects
The result can be summarized into a comprehensive concept at an overall level for Smart Housing and a number of supporting documents. The concept describes some selected functions and how the concept can create value for the applicant, the property owner and the municipality. The overall approach was to strengthen the applicant, the property manager as well as the service person at the municipality. Examples of supporting documents are a digital process, an inventory of legal perspectives and a comparison of housing intermediaries in Sweden.
Approach and implementation
The project has gathered information through readings, interviews and surveys. Subsequently, it has been processed through individual and joint workshops. In order to understand the property owner´s perspective, two interviews were conducted with several property owners. We started from their steps in the provision of housing. For the housing applicants, in-depth interviews and surveys were conducted with randomly selected people. The project had an expert group of experts who met at the beginning of the project to provide guidance and at the end to provide feedback on the results.
