Important results from the project

Service Node has developed a first version of our smart service protocols that will be launched to our customers in Q3 2018. Initially, the smart protocols will be tested internally to roll out to all customers during a beta test. The smart protocols will be included in the existing product packaging. The purpose of the project was to develop smart digital protocols to replace all physical documentation for all types of service objects. The smart protocols complement our digital service books.

Expected long term effects

The complete effect of the project will be delayed until our customers have fully used the service and evaluated it. On a technical level, the project has been successful despite underestimating the amount of work needed in our back-end; both database work and API. This has resulted in the actual version that our customers will use will be released durin autumn 2018. We had hoped that the full MVP version would be ready before this.

Approach and implementation

The project was conducted by a designer, project manager, back-end developer and two front-end developers (mobile and web); The project has been implemented using the JIRA project management tool, where we have run LEAN development one sprint at a time. The project management and the layout have worked excellent; However, our requirement analysis and technical analysis of the amount of work required to complete the project can be improved to the next project. Good implementation and overall result; but with the opportunity for improvement that we take with us for future projects
