Purpose and goal

The project goal was to make a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) version of PlasticFri carrier bags in order to pilot testing, evaluating and validating PlasticFri in a real environment together with potential customers and users. The initial target was to produce at least 10 PlasticFri carrier bags and test it at least 30 users and potential customers. We succeeded to produce 50 PlasticFri bags and test them with 87 users and potential customers. This helped us to validate the technical performance of PlasticFri carrier bags, refine our business model and attract potential customers.

Expected results and effects

Our innovation has been received beyond expectation! + 50 PlasticFri bags (industrial MVP version) were produced + Pilot testing conducted with 87 users and potential customers. + High demand from end consumers + Dialogue initiated with several potential customers and partners + Collected valuable feedback, validated the need and commercial attractiveness + Succeeded to produce PlasticFri bags with existing equipments, which makes our technology highly-scalable and cost-efficient to operate. + PlasticFri bags turned to be very price-competetive

Planned approach and implementation

The project execution was divided into 5 Work Packages (WP) with specific associated Milestones (MS), work plans and time plans. Our team followed the time plan and succeeded to complete all work packages on time. We also secured a manufacturing partner for further development and commercialization of PlasticFri after this project period.
