Important results from the project
Purpose: Identify the most promising European markets for CaCharge solution. Objective: 1. Analyze market data in order to identify the 3-5 most promising European markets. 2. Prioritize and grade countries in order to determine in wich order CaCharge should enter. 3. Formulate a business plan for entering the Norwegian market. Outcome: Five markets are identified and prioritized, and a defined launch plan for Norway is produced.
Expected long term effects
The most promising countries have been identified and evaluated based on following criteria’s: number of electric cars and its forecast, number of off-street parking lots and parking models as well as current available subsidies for electric cars and charging infrastructure. The outcome of countries to enter, and which order: 1. Norway 2. Germany 3. UK 4. The Nederland 5. France. Prior to the project, CaCharge had a different hypothesis of which order countries should be entered. Hence, the project has improved and enriched Cacharges expansion plan.
Approach and implementation
1.Analyses of the need for charging solutions in relevant European markets. This was mainly accomplished through internal market research with support from industry experts. 2.Deep analyses of selected markets potential This was mainly accomplished through market research together with Business Sweden. Interviews and collaboration with Business Sweden’s local offices was arranged. 3. Strategi för marknadsintroduktion Norge This was accomplished through market- and customer research as well as interviews with experts within the Norwegian electric car industry.
