Purpose and goal
The project idea is to reduce the epidemic development of obesity, diabetes2 and cardiovascular disease caused by over-consumption of sugar. At the same time reducing sugar consumption, affecting health problems and creating profitability is the challenge for our innovative business model. The goal is to influence people´s choices by offering consumers food, drinks, sweets, pastries and other products with healthy sweetness through unique meeting places and e-commerce to start a popular movement for healthy sweetness in parallel in Gävle and Wuhan / China.
Expected results and effects
A conference was held with Wuhan / Gävle and agreements were signed for over-consumption of sugar Meeting place Gävle has been used as a test, data has been collected to evaluate consumers´ acceptance of products with "healthy sweetness". Course offerings, products, services have been developed, Carl Malmsten designs the Nordic design profile. A franchise concept has been structured for expansion. IT systems have been developed for website / appstore / webshop, the starting point for the popular movement through meeting places, courses / demonstrations and healthy sweet products.
Planned approach and implementation
The start was a conference between Gävle and Wuhan for parallel efforts against over-consumption of sugar, which resulted in an agreement and the start of activities in both Gävle and Wuhan As an important part of China´s acceptance of our arrangement, the meeting place in Gävle has been shown as the center of regional influence on sugar consumption. The venue, the e-commerce / communication systems, the development of products with healthy sweetness and the franchise package are crucial for continued operations in China. The same reaction has potential retail partners in Sweden.
