Purpose and goal

The projects main goals were increased safety, increased efficiency and improved working conditions in OHVs. The main conclusion in the group is that for all those goals the use of HUD can in fact mean improvements. However, it has not within this project been possible to quantify the improvements. It is currently discussed how such a quantification can be done as a next step after this project.

Expected results and effects

Other goals in the project were to increase R&D capacity in Sweden, to promote progress of SMEs and subcontractors and to promote cross-functional cooperation between companies in different segments. There is a clear opinion amongst the participants that this project has meant new opportunities in many ways.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been carried out according to plan, however with a slight delay. The planned deliveries for the different working packages were fulfilled. The largest challenge in the project was to transfer the early theoretical solution to someting installable in practice. Looking back more time should have been reserved for that phase. The overall conclusion from this project is that it is for sure possible to implement HUD technology in a satisfactory way in OHVs and that this project has defined the key factors for a succussful future serial installation.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
