Important results from the project

We want to create a bed that you will wake up energized in. With an industrial applicable innovation, the user is able to adjust the bed´s firmness for the hip and shoulder zones at any time via remote control. The purpose of the project was a PoC for the product and the business model. We have achieved a demo bed with expected result, the business model are proven by external evaluation as well as tests.

Expected long term effects

We have delivered according to plan. The bed provides expected comfort with the possibility to achieve individualized settings via remote control. The project has strengthened our hypothesis according to marketing plan. We are looking forward to the next step when we can verify method by marketing the real product. We are strengthened in our expectation that this step, in combination with continued development will result in that we after 5 years will be established on the international market and have a strong brand and a broad range of innovative products.

Approach and implementation

The project has been divided into two parts, the prototype and customer analysis. The prototype was more demanding and complicated than we first assumed. We got more involved in the basic construction, it required more work but it resulted in valuable knowledge. Together with a establish partner with expert knowledge, we have developed and strengthened existing marketing hypotheses with workshops and tests. We are strengthened in the fact that we have good prerequisites, but also humble that the upcoming performance are crucial. In the next step, we want to make sure we are successful.
