Important results from the project
The goal of the project was to answer the question of whether school providers are a realistic, sustainable and scalable customer for digital study and career guidance. A question we claim to have answered with regards to various aspects. The purpose was to gain increased insights and knowledge about the viability of the business model based on market interactions, tests and meetings. Overall, this goal and purpose has resulted in a survey of the business model which not only evaluates the case but also distinguishes what requirements it places on us as an actor and how to move forward.
Expected long term effects
Overall, project results and effects align with our expectations. We have tested the viability of the business concept and evaluated different ways and channels to reach out with our solution. We have identified strengths and weaknesses that will be central in our future strategy. An unexpected result is the effects of a confidentiality decision on open school data. It took us backwards in technical development but opened up for a dialogue with municipalities, authorities and other organizations about open data. This is something that we see as an important part of our future work.
Approach and implementation
Apart from certain method and activity changes as a result of external factors and new focus areas, the project has been carried out according to the specified plan. We have followed the structure of three work packages, but just like all agile projects, we have adapted and changed activities as the project has progressed and new lessons have been added. For example. Several of the activities have become more cross-border than planned. This is a consequence of e.g. meetings beeing difficult to plan or that new knowledge and external factors have prolonged or shortened planned work.
