Purpose and goal

With the help of Vinnova we have made great progress in developing a scalable product with great potential to create value for stores in Sweden and around the world. Corona has caused some problems in the short term, but at the same time it is likely to be a catalyst for faster digitalisation moving forward. We are satisfied with the progress we have made in terms of R&D and stay optimistic for continued progress towards our objective to build AI for the future of store operations.

Expected results and effects

In the short term, our platform enables: digitalisation of daily operations in physical stores in the FMCG market. Furthermore, this lays the foundation for developing AI for the future of store operations. As more stores start using Storesprint, we want to utilise data to create networks of stores that via smart (automated) knowledge sharing, continuously iterate and improve their operations. This will strengthen the digital infrastructure and increase the pace of innovation in our market.

Planned approach and implementation

If we look at the project as a whole, about 70% of invested resources has gone to research, design and product development - and the remaining 30% to sales, marketing, strategy work and administration. This has partly been a conscious strategy, and partly an effect of circumstances. If Corona had not appeared, we would have invested more resources in sales, for example. The plan ahead is to move towards a distribution more around 60% on research, design and development - and 40% on sales, marketing and other activities.
