Purpose and goal
We have reached our goal to create a minimum viable product of the function "Related products" in the AR-product VirtuArc. During the project we have verified with local retailers in Umeå that "Related products" are both one of the most important features but also the function thats is most desired in the work with this product. During this project we have gathered important knowledge about the business from people working in the business area, knowledge that is incredibly valuable in future work with VirtuARC.
Expected results and effects
With our product and the feature "Related products", we want to strenghten and support local retailers to better compete against e-commerce. Through our workshop we gained knowledge of what retailers prioritize, retailers gained a better understanding of how digital technology can increase sales in pshysical stores. We also verified that we are on track with the idea of "Related products". In addition to the collaboration with Simon, CEO of ChildrensHouse, we are in contact with a number of merchants, malls and other stakeholders in Umeå who are interested in cooperation in the future.
Planned approach and implementation
In order to create valuable and long-term partnerships, we needed to spend more time and cost on start-up work than we initially thought. In order gain contacts, engagement and motivation for cooperation, we conducted an inspiration lecture and a workshop with key people from retail, business developers and researchers in Umeå. During implementation, these people have been invited to test, evaluate and plan the ongoing work on the product and the "Related products" feature.
