A new recipe for the food system - building innovation platforms for a sustainable food system

Do you want to be involved in creating innovation at the system level for a sustainable and competitive food system? A new recipe for the food system is a long-term effort to meet the systemic and policy challenges that hinder innovation, competitiveness and transformation in the field. The effort should contribute to building innovation platforms where actors are allowed to experiment and explore new methods and ways of working. The platforms must be formed around ambitious conversion goals, so-called missions, which can contribute to an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable food system.

    What is the offer about?

The innovation platforms are built by a core team and it is these teams that are funded in this call for proposals. The core team, together with key actors, must develop and anchor the mission nationally and, in the long term, internationally. It requires a broad commitment from various stakeholders, such as researchers, entrepreneurs, authorities, municipalities, regions, companies and civil society organizations.

In this call for proposals it is not possible to apply for specific innovation projects, but only to build a core team that drives long-term system transformation and that in turn initiates innovation projects.

The financing is divided into three stages over five years.
