The main purpose of the program is to stimulate research and innovation in cooperation between primarily member and associated countries and the rest of the world. Horisont Europa also aims to engage citizens and social actors in the common challenges we face, where research and innovation can contribute to sustainable solutions.
This yearbook reports Sweden's participation in the EU's ninth framework program for research and innovation - Horisont Europa - from its start on January 1, 2021 through February 8, 2023. It is the first report of its kind on this framework program, and it highlights and analyzes Sweden's participation in an international context. Some things that are analyzed are how Sweden compares to other countries, which Swedish organizations were successful in this way at the beginning of the framework program, and how the EU funds granted by Sweden are distributed between different types of organizations and counties.
