Important results from the project
VISOR´s main objective, was to develop the solution to today´s challenges in Omnikanal. Through our innovative platform, retail chains are offered the opportunity to achieve a seamless transition between online and physical stores, while reducing operating costs radically. The stores´ stores were meant to be used as a virtual center warehouse with existing staff, thus creating a higher efficiency, and flexibly using parts, the entire module alternatively, central warehouses or virtual warehouses. All of the above objectives are completed and in the Production Environment.
Expected long term effects
Heads VISOR is currently installed and in full operation with a Customer. The module is engine in their Omnikanals solution for Store Sales e-commerce Post-advance sales VISOR manages the flow of goods through the individual stores at the same time as e-commerce is supported by product, price and stock information. The module ensures correct, pricing, customer agreement, Mix & Match, and stock records are reported correctly. All in real time. Customer can start delivering a store order directly The customer placed his order. Provides higher efficiency and less administration.
Approach and implementation
The goal of the project within the Vinnova project framework was to have a first version of Heads VISOR ready for initial tests. We now have support for managing virtual stocks, handling orders, and a uniform handling of Price. In this way we fulfill the goals Correct product Correct price Effective pick-up flow Traceable Delivery This functionality is exposed through a REST API for all the floods if have contact surfaces with external systems. We have worked agile with sprints that have been between one to four weeks long. In the first half of 2017, up to 20 deployments of Heads VISOR were made.
