Purpose and goal
The VFT-1 project is fully implemented and during 2014 49 new projects have been funded and 25 projects from 2013 have been managed. All processes are fully operational. A number of companies have been formed, additional funding secured, incubation has been made and networks have been created e.g. through a large number of customer contacts. The project is considered successful.
Results and expected effects
It is still rather early to make a full analysis of effects and results in projects. Many projects are still ongoing making it difficult to see the final commercial outcome. We have made a first analysis of indicators of effects (see report). We can clearly see that VFT-1 fulfils its goals and enables projects advancing to later stages such as incubators, larger funding and contacts and agreements with industry and customers and building networks and activities for building stronger teams incl. entrepreneurs.
Approach and implementation
The process for preparing, selecting and following-up is relatively fast and efficient even though some steps are more prone to result in delays such as providing materials for decisions, procurement. We can further improve flow of projects from partners. This is likely to be easier to succeed with when MDH has their new organisation in place.
