Purpose and goal

Although not all goals were fully met during the time frame for the project, we believe that the project has been very successful. We have set out a clear business model that goes through two stages; a simple free application in the first step and a more advanced payment application in the next step. The free app will be launched in two weeks from now. The clearest verification that the project has been successful is that several investors have shown great interest in our service.

Results and expected effects

The result from the project has brought some great effects for Hoa´s Tool Shop. Among other things, we have managed to recruit one of the people that we listed as an external resource to our company: Jonas Jendi, former CEO of CogMed. Jonas is now partner in Hoa´s Tool Shop and the chairman of the board. We have also recruited a registered nurse from the U.S., who has been working on establishing contacts in the U.S. for an international launch. Furthermore, we have received great interest from both Swedish and international investors.

Approach and implementation

The implementation has been executed according to the three phases; market research, beta customer testing, and development of the implementation process. The lesson learned from this is that the market research showed that the step to go from an established method to another one is very big. Therefore, a completely new implementation process, which includes distributing a free application, has been developed. Despite this, the most essential for the project, i.e. to verify and launch a product has been accomplished.
