Reference number
Funding from Vinnova SEK 6 529 815
Project duration April 2014 - December 2015
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The goals of the project has been well reached. Approximately 30 new methods, solutions or organisations to support increased sustainability in society has been created. Of these a majority has a focus on social sustainability and social entrepreneurship. As of today the work with creating 22 new services or products has started or are finished and there are plans on more to come. The companies that completed their work all feel that their competitiveness has increased.

Expected effects and result

Out of 58 businesses that got to take part of the innovation checks, there was 55 who finished their work. The reasons for not finishing the work has varied but it all comes down to external conditions that made the companies incapable of finishing their tasks. The possibility for companies to take part of the money has made them dare to develop innovations that has led to higher profitability, higher competitiveness and new jobs.

Planned approach and implementation

This period Coompanion organised approval and management of the innovation checks at a regional level. As a support for the innovation coaches there has been a handbook, checklists, templates and a person in each group that has been part of the national team. There has also been a small budget for meetings. There has been advantages with this way of working but the budget and the extent of work is too small to justify regional management.
