Reference number
Coordinator VILOSTEN AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 300 000
Project duration June 2013 - December 2013
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The project´s goal was to create customer safety and satisfaction when buying Vilostens tombstones. This has largely been achieved. The customer survey revealed how customers reason about gravestones and how simple adjustments to some of the models can make them more attractive to customers. The first part of the survey towards funeral agencies have shown a clear interest in Vilostens products. We have completed the testing and production of tools, which now enables production of Vilostens tombstones. The testing of the models have also been completed with good results.

Results and expected effects

Vilosten has obtained extended knowledge of potential customers needs which will lead to a more efficient development of new models and more precise marketing campaigns. Knowledge of funeral agencies preferences have been expanded but will be extended further after stage two of the study. Vilosten has optimized production tools and developed a zero series. This together will lead to an earlier launch of Vilostens products.

Approach and implementation

Some adjustments to the planning and implementation was made. The first step was the study visit to Germany and the customer survey. This was followed by the development of tools and the production of the zero series. An adjustment of the application was made so that financing agreement was removed and added to the zero series instead. Parallel to the production of the zero series, the first step in the investigation of funeral agencies wishes was conducted. In December, the final part of the study visits was made with a visit to Rome.
