Reference number
Coordinator Uppsala universitet - Institutionen för teknikvetenskaper
Funding from Vinnova SEK 2 343 000
Project duration September 2008 - December 2012
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The aim of the project and international qualification is to strengthen the possibilities for a successful career for the project leader. Additionally, the aim is to initiate a broadening of the solar cell research at Uppsala University and to create a basis for supporting the emerging Swedish solar cell industry.

Expected long term effects

The expected results include a widened network in Nordic solar cell research and industry, increased independence as researcher, increased chances of attracting own funding by publishing and international qualification. New influences for future research projects in particular on so called third generation solar cells. Exchange of experience on immaterial rights issues for fruitful collaboration between research and industry.

Approach and implementation

The project time is 2 ½ year with more than one year full time at IFE, mainly for research on transparent conductive oxides for silicon based solar cells. Thereafter mainly work at UU with relating research. Continued supervision of two PhD students at UU during the whole project time. Leadership training and participation in mentorship program aimed at female researchers (UU).
