Important results from the project
Goal “Model for capturing and retaining young people in creative flow and progressive knowledge development” - fulfilled through measurability of success factors (pedagogy, self-esteem, social values) Goal “IT-portal for disseminating learning support” - structure and design created, allows many people to learn and develop with efficient resources. Creations by visitors is documented in an online portfolio. Goal “Scalable management model” - strategies developed for hardware, routines and training. Goal “Business model” - developed with both customers and partners.
Expected long term effects
The results of the platform are several. The visitor can now have all the educational material in their own phone. You can continue to improve at home. Staff can receive data-driven support to determine what they can recommend to others. We see engagement from that. The pedagogical design means that the visitor succeeds and with the strengthening of the platform, we see that it creates pride among the creators and that works are also displayed by those who formatively would be judged as low performers in a traditional context. But thanks to the breadth of the material managed to perform well.
Approach and implementation
The platform contains areas for the visitor to improve at Trainstation. The structure consists of simple tasks, in the aim to present the approach and process for each to succeed in delivering a finished artifact or "product". Inspirational videos give you a wow factor and understanding of how to achieve the final goal. Areas of knowledge - the whole area is broken down into logical areas where there are simpler and more difficult exercises and tool instructions. We move the traditional text-based approach to a visually exploratory learning.
