Purpose and goal

The project Allmännyttans innovationslabb has developed tools and methods for housing organizations that want to contribute to a positive societal development. We want to engage more people to be committed in the work against segregation. A plan for how to disseminate our learnings and inspiring examples has been produced. The plan is based on that Sveriges Allmännytta and the other project partners will support housing organizations in further improving their work of counteracting segregation.

Expected results and effects

In 3 to 5 years, the enhanced support will give housing organizations increased knowledge, competence and tools in their work with neighborhood development and social sustainability. The foundation for this derives from the lessons and insights in the project Allmännyttans innovationslabb. The reinforced support includes among other things new training, networks, knowledge-based information on the web, consultancy and concrete tools in the form of templates and examples.

Planned approach and implementation

The project Allmännyttans innovationslabb consisted of tests and development in four labs in different parts of Sweden. As a base in each lab there was a venue that was managed by local actors: a public housing company, a municipality and the civil society. Each lab addressed a specific societal challenge and, together with those affected by the challenge, different solutions were tested and developed.
