Coordinator ÖSTERGÖTLANDS LÄNS LANDSTING - Ledningsstaben
Funding from Vinnova SEK 173 154
Project duration October 2013 - October 2015
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

For project_1 the founding worked as intended, that is, the company (Elozo) got access to expertise within the county that we would otherwise not have been able to be offer without effort covered by these means. The opportunity to support founding has also worked well for project_2 and given the innovator necessary support to advance the idea and the patent so that it can reach a market. In project_3-5 it has been clear that the funding for activities contributed significantly to the ability to release staff when it is difficult to solve the shortfall in production in another way.

Results and expected effects

Based on the projects in which funds were used, it is clear that this type of funding has the potential to facilitate interaction between companies and health care providers and also give the necessary support in the early innovators in the county so that their ideas can reach out to a market.

Approach and implementation

The design works well on the five projects that have so far been included. Implementation was initially based on the assumption to support up to 15 projects, this has not been filled since the required volume of collaborative projects have not reached the expected level. In today´s health care there are often difficult to find recourses for these kinds of innovation projects due to lack ´air´ in the system and the possibility of additional support that this project admitted has facilitated the operations to set aside time for innovation projects
