Purpose and goal

The aging population is today one of our greatest societal challenges. The preparatory project aims to create basis for decisions around the establishment of a test bed for solutions that support ´active and healthy aging´ in the fall of 2019. The project´s goal is to secure a long-term partnership, validate the test bed´s value offer towards the test bed´s users, as well as anchor the implementation project in partner organizations.

Expected results and effects

The test beds focus on prevention and promotion of healthy aging makes it unique. Where Norrbotten´s aging demographic creates an interesting test group. A business model customized to the needs of test beds users in combination with the availability of Norrbotten´s unique historical healthcare data in the form of an Open Access platform, the test bed will offer lower risk, shorter lead times, more effective testing and validated test results. The project will result in an application for the implementation project

Planned approach and implementation

Through interviews, workshops and mapping exercises, the project will secure a long-term partnership as well as anchor the implementation among participating organizations. In order to validate the test bed´s value offer and ensure its attractiveness, potential testers will be involved in the preparatory project reference groups. A gender equality analysis and accompanying action plan will be developed to ensure an integration of equality dimensions in the design of the testbed. Above activities will results in a joint application for the implementation project.
