Important results from the project

The aims and objectives have been to create a functional, accessible and neutral arena with the ability to test, validate and introduce new materials, processes and products have been met through technological projects, seminars, knowledge transfer and networking. The sustainability of the test bed is met through new projects, applications and need. However, the future financing and operation of the test bed is still not fully clarified.

Expected long term effects

The project has demonstrated the need for a test-bed in the area. The companies have interest of facilities for testing and evaluation of methods and processes. It has also created new partnerships and networks. New stakeholders have been informed about the test bed and its capabilities, which have generated new cooperation and project ideas. In the long term, the project has enabled project applications in new areas and applications based on project results. Commercialization of results has been one important question which has been answered for a specific case during the project.

Approach and implementation

The project has been managed as a membership program with three different parts: Knowledge, company specific- and competence improvement research projects: 4 physical project meetings. Agreement have been signed. 2 company specific- and 1 competence improvement research projects. Seminars, company tours, Open Technology Day, articles and presentations at conferences. Investments and upgrading of equipment. Customer assignments have been implemented 2 project applications are submitted, and one is planned Collaborative project together with Test Bed for plastic recycling
