Purpose and goal

The goal for UBI Index with VINN NU 2014 was to create a business model for its organization targeting governmental innovation agencies and to identify and create relationships with future customers. The firm have learned much and have many new experiences from the project, especially in product and service development as one of the goals was to develop a scorecard for governmental innovation agencies. UBI Index has today, with the help from Vinnova and VINN NU 2014, created business opportunities and relationships with organizations in about 20 countries.

Results and expected effects

The firm reached the expected effects from the project and have now the knowledge within the industry that is needed to take the next step within the customer segment. UBI Index have developed a scorecard for governmental innovation agencies and also established several important customer contacts. To be able to enhance the knowledge the project has given the firm one person have been hired in order to develop the segment further. Both financial and knowledge oriented effects from the project can already been seen in the firm.

Approach and implementation

Karl Antonsson was selected as project leader for the VINN NU project and together with the team in UBI Index have they worked with a hypothesis-driven approach in order to tackle the new customers segment, governmental innovation agencies. The firm have through interviews and a continuous adaptation of the offering learnt a lot about the market, what the customers are looking for and also how UBI Index should customize its value proposition.
