Purpose and goal

The goal for the project has been to develop an agenda for the area of modeling and system simulation in collaboration with other actors in the area. A set of areas for development were identified during the process as was the importance of a modeling and model treatment capability in the system building industry. Several Swedish actors are behind the agenda and they include the system building industry, small and medium size enterprises in the simulation business, as well as universities and research institute.

Results and expected effects

Three strategic areas are proposed based on the vision of the innovation process of the future: * the model and system simulation tool chain in system building industry * the human aspect of interacting with and using simulators * basic research on methodology and technology in simulation A network and coordination of research efforts gives a positive effect on the products and company growth. Which in its turn increases the innovation capabilities, and we thus build a safer, stronger and more competitive Sweden.

Approach and implementation

The agenda has been formed through a sequence of workshops where all partners have contributed with analyses of the area and ideas for tasks as well as texts. The input has been handled to a group of writers that have collected and homogenized the textual material which in its turn has been distributed back to the complete group for review. Review meetings have been held where all partners have had the opportunity to participate either in person of over the internet of phone.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
