Purpose and goal

Swelife takes national responsibility for coordinating, leading and developing sustainable research and innovation processes for Sw edish life science. The vision is that by 2026, Sweden is one of the w orld´s leading life science ecosystems, characterized by an effective and dynamic netw ork of strong academic research environments, small companies, global life science industry and health care.

Expected results and effects

The goal of the project is to ensure progress tow ards the Swelife vision and to ensure that the program delivers according to Swelife´s long term goals. This will result in a shorter process from idea to innovation for the benefit of both individuals and society. It will also result in economic growth.

Planned approach and implementation

The activities initiated within Swelife aim to achieve the following long-term goals (1) Competence and resources within life science in Sweden are used nationally through cooperation and coordination. (2) Sweden offers good conditions for sustainable growth and international competitiveness for the life science sector. (3) Residents in Sweden have access to innovative, equal and personalized care
