Purpose and goal

The work with reaching the overall goal of strengthening the sector of the mining and metal producing industries competitiveness and sustainability has started during the first three years of the program. The program is well established and the first finalized innovation projects shows results directly connected to the goals and impact logic of the program.

Expected results and effects

The program had expected results within four different areas "Science and Technology" , "Capacity Building", "Dissemination, Education and Training" and "Leverage". The results are monitored in detail as a part of the evaluation of the program performed 2016. The evaluation showed a very high degree of fulfillment in connection with the expected results.

Planned approach and implementation

The program arrangement and implementation has been developed during the three years of the program with the program application as starting point. The governance model still remains with smaller adjustments. Processes and activates has been developed in dialog with the funding bodies and stakeholders to create transparency and clarity. Activities has been developed based upon the impact logic of the program, continuously updated in collaboration with the stakeholders of the sector.
