Purpose and goal
The center has within the project developed a common strategy for internationalization. The strategy is built on the center operational plan and describes a coordinated process in order to monitor, influence or lead the international development in an effecient way to contribute to more environmentally sustainable solutions for products´ and services´ entire life cycle. Another goal for the project was to be able to put some of the strategy activities in practice. This has been possible through the project funding and has been of high value for the center.
Results and expected effects
The project has resulted in a strategy for internationalization, with concrete goals and a structured work process for achieve the goals. The project has also resulted in international participation in initiatives which by the board assessed to have a global impact, and increased international visibility through various coordinated activities. The greatest success is that the center has developed a common strategy, approved and adopted by the Board and seems to be important for all partners in the center.
Approach and implementation
The project has been led by a project management team, which together with a project team have developed the strategy with its contents. The work has been distributed to the working area leaders and other working groups on specific issues. Along the project an advisory group has provided support to the project, and the Board has act as a steering group. The strategy describes the center´s strengths and opportunities for global leadership, joint structure for consolidated intelligence, goals for internationalization, evaluation and follow up, as well as appendix.
