Funding from Vinnova SEK 1 000 000
Project duration June 2014 - May 2016
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The project had three goals 1. Impact on calls from 2014 to 2015 and from 2016 to 2017 2. Strengthen dialogue with business, labor and government to identify key knowledge gaps and cooperation opportunities for future applications to Horizon 2020 3. Contact point for Nordic and European researchers, when seeking cooperation with Swedish colleagues

Expected results and effects

The platform has followed and raised comments on the drafts for Future Strategies and Work Programmes. Despite the fact that our proposals were well received among Swedish authorities, we assess the impact as limited for the period 2016-2017.Work, working conditions, and sustainable work, however, have been adopted as important aspects for other major issues through our advocacy work. We have developed and driven the three position papers on research, supported by the EU-OSHA and researchers, represented by Perosh. We have also participated in the work of the EU-OSHA research.

Planned approach and implementation

We have coordinated efforts through our European networks to influence WP 2016-2017. We have produced supporting documents sent on to researchers in other countries. We have influenced indirectly through universities and research councils, but also directly through meetings with officials at the European Commission in Brussels. Overall, the platform´s impact on the Framework Programmes has been limited and we need to develop our advocacy strategies. The impact of sustainable work within the research community has however been strengthened by our activities
