Purpose and goal

The interaction between the key players in our regional leadership, representing business, academia and society, has been prioritized in project STRONG. This has resulted in an advanced platform, Sweden Game Arena Skövde, which allows for continued work to build computer games industry in our region and international attractiveness. Within the working process we´ve created commitment, involvement and pride, and a strong joint application for Vinnväxt.

Results and expected effects

In just ten years we´ve created a new growth industry in Skövde, the computer games industry. Now it´s time to switch it up and realize an internationally recognized environment for innovation. The environment and its stakeholders will contribute to and develop the use of digital games and game technology as a tool for developing sustainable innovations in services, products and processes in different types of business and different type´s challenges: social, economic and environmental.

Approach and implementation

STRONG has focused on the involvement of the identified key stakeholders from industry, academia and society. Work in the project has been based on process-led workshops that create impact, engagement, collaboration and pride for a common task. It has been a success factor. We also note that existing regional, national and international networks has developed. This will create development opportunities for individual players and for the joint initiative´s success.
