Purpose and goal

The purpose of creating a strategci innovation agenda for the area solar electricity, has been to put forward opportunities for Swedish actors to grow within the sector. In the conversations and discussions, a number of opportunities and challenges to this purpose have been put forward. Wtih these in mind, a number of actions have been formulated which will utilize the opportunities and overcome the challenges.

Results and expected effects

The result of the agenda is an area-description, a global outlook and a mapping over current and potential positions for Swedish actors. Moreover, the agenda points out connected areas that will affect the development as well as specific markets of interest. Finally, the agenda put forward a number of prioritized areas and strategies to utilize swedish resources and capabilities within these markets. The project has initiated an important dialogue between central actors and one expected effect of the project is more of multidisciplinary and therefore creative collaboration.

Approach and implementation

In summary 22 individual interviews have been conducted followed by a couple of round table discussions, gathering 25 participants from different parts of the value chain. The results of these have been compiled and form the content of the Agenda. The individual talks gave a sufficient foundation for the round table discussions, which then were used as strategic talks, rather then area discussions. Looking in the rear mirror, the work has been more time consuming then was originally planned for, but at the same time, provided in depth knowledge over the actors drivers and challenges.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
