Purpose and goal

The study analyzes the application of national and international tecnical standards in the Swedish digital education ecosystem, with a listing of future needs This is to describe how edtech companies could use standards to, together with the school principals, increase the amount of computer-driven processes in the school and increase the companies´ competitiveness.

Expected results and effects

A study and a survey have been conducted on what operational data within the school needs to be structured in a standardized way with a description of what effects it would have. The current situation regarding the need for implementation of national or international standards is described. One area has been selected as an example: information exchange at school transitions, which today is not structured in a standardized way. With the example, the study describes identified effects and recommends what the next steps should be.

Planned approach and implementation

An expert group with broad competence in the area has worked in a number of workshops to identify needs, develop a set of data and develop the example case: information exchange at school transitions. A research work has been done and compiled, with an open referral procedure to a number of actors where effects and recommendations have been developed and anchored.
