Project duration January 2015 - December 2015
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

1. Developed and tested a software product together with reference laboratories Fulfilled 2. Strategic investigations för extended IP protection as well as methods for regulatory documentation. Fulfilled

Results and expected effects

The result of the project is that we have, based on a prototype, built a high performing cloud based software ready to be validated by large volumes of clinical samples. We have also built relationships and network to be able to efficiently implement the technique in test labs during 2016. The IP and regulatory work has gained insight in how to focus our resources and what is necessary for a successful market entry. We have also strengthened our position through trademark protection and explored the FTO.

Approach and implementation

We performed the project essentially according to plan. Software development, technical verification and commercial verification was performed as described in Work package 1, 2 and 3. The only deviation was that we succeeded to negotiate the cost for material (sequencing) significantly by performing doing more hands on work in house why we used a large amount of the budgeted material cost for salary costs. In Work package 4 and 5 we also rationalized the work by using own employees to a larger extent than planned. Therefore the external costs are less than planned and salary costs higher.
