Purpose and goal

The purpose of Digitech Forum has been to provide our target groups with a deeper knowledge of opportunities and challenges within digitization. These groups include decision-makers in business, politics and public administration. Digitech Forum has equipped the participants with knowledge and contacts to take better advantage of the opportunities offered by digital technology, identify their organisations´ challenges, nuance the public debate and deal with the challenges that digitization implies.

Expected results and effects

By 28 February 2017 a total of 653 attendees had participated in the eight Digitech seminars. In addition, SNS organised two roundtable discussions. The series had 25 participating speakers including seven Swedish and three international researchers and representatives of business and management. The seminars have conveyed research and insights which had an impact in both traditional and social media, thereby reaching a wider audience.

Planned approach and implementation

The seminars and roundtable discussions have been conducted according to SNS´s established procedure and in cooperation with representatives from academia, business and government. Before each seminar, a communication strategy has been outlined. Our videos and podcasts have meant we have been able to spread our work in both traditional and social media. SNS has also engaged prominent international researchers who contributed with important knowledge to the Swedish debate on digitization.
