Important results from the project
The goal of the challenge is to find solutions for an urban, sustainable lifestyle, in Sweden and internationally. Innovations in demand are services and products facilitating a sustainable choice for the target group and also contributing to major, positive effects of the environment. It is also a project strengthening the image of Sweden as a country of innovation pursuing a sustainable lifestyle and also channels to develop innovations in this area. The goal is about 150 contributions, of which 10 are developed/realised as well as the participation of 5-10 foreign missions.
Expected long term effects
Of special interest is innovation on a system level, and innovation addressing design, eco-system services and a cradle-to-cradle-perspective in the area of live, eat and move. Expected side effects are being a link between existing innovations and stakeholders in on-going urban design projects. The challenge also expects to attract groups out-side the traditional research environment and obtaining a users-perspective, working in a non-hierarchal spirit. An important aspect is to make the smart innovations being attractive and not a choice of sacrifice.
