Purpose and goal

Milestones Thematic workshops: OK Core group of companies established: OK 5 product prototypes finished: OK, total 26 pcs Established prototype workshop: OK Prototype housing module version 1: OK (Developed at test bed / LivingLab) Window with transparent intelligence commercialized: OK People living in homes built according SHSs concept: 2015 ==> student housing in the housing module External research funding in the SHS is 5 million / year: OK EU projects within the Horizon 2020 led by SHS: A bigger challenge than expected. Requires larger international network.

Expected results and effects

The 26 st prototypes has increased companies´ commitment to innovation. Thematic workshops and theme groups have increased collaboration between companies and academia. The 39 feasibility studies have involved a large number of companies, research institutes and academies yielding greater knowledge and generating even more activities and projects. Housing module was conducted in a spirit of open innovation and resulted in increased public interest for housing in wood and glass. Seed funding for academic research applications has given a good upshift of research.

Planned approach and implementation

Strategies: Meeting places: Larger gatherings converted into thematic groups. Annual gala in 2016. Prototype: Led by SP / Glafo => Proper skills. FOI Seed funding successful Urban development: With the existing network. SHS provides expertise in wood and glass. Internationalization: conferences / trade shows, China Travel with Business Sweden. The environment must work internationally. Communication has evolved / functions. Learning optimised the SHS org. Supports large projects:TVV-project BOOST OBOS project HI6 and smart urban housing in Växjö.
