Purpose and goal
The focus of this Smart City Event project was to run further technological developments but especially to develop a sustainable business solution. The aim of this part of the project is to match the development of the product with visitors´ expectations toward a mobile event communication platform in terms of content, functionalities, ergonomics but also event arrangements actors / service providers´ offer and expectations in terms of communication and involvement possibilities in the communication process offered by the mobile event communication platform.
Results and expected effects
The demonstration activities run under the project shows that the experience of the visitor is enhanced by the social functionalities of the tool. The implementation of the 10 services provides with information about the different possibilities the city has to offer before and after the event. The project will shortly be presented to 4 european cities in the context of an ongoing EU project. With a large-scale dissemination in the cities, we expect to enhance visitors´ experiences, improve safety in big events and strengthens businesses´ commercial development.
Approach and implementation
The design of the mobile event communication platform and the design of the business model have evolved along the project and the workshops, studies made. We understood the potential value generation by involving all stakeholders of the value chain: the visitors, who are the final users but also all the organisations who cover directly or indirectly this market segment. This collaboration allowed a big step in the development of the mobile event communication platform and we are now ready to take the next step even closer to the market, with large scale testing.
