Purpose and goal

The project aimed to create favorable conditions for employees in health care who had ideas for improvements and new products and services. An additional goal was to also create the conditions for medical device companies that intended to interact with health care, in order to promote growth in the community. SLL Innovation has met this goal as one of the few innoavtionsslussar in Sweden who built a structure in both areas! The aim was to create more growth samtt to develop new and better products and services to the healthcare industry.

Results and expected effects

The main effect is that the organization is perm by a council decision in the SCC and that the organization is in place infrastructure wise. An office is set up with people in charge of product development, business support, innovation procurement / business and clinical testing. Innovation coordinators are employed and in place within hospitals in Stockholm and innovation ambassadors have been trained at South Hospital and Ds and be trained at Södertälje Hospital.

Approach and implementation

The infrastructure for SLL Innovation has built up over the years 2009 - 2012 with the ISO certified DS Innovation Department at Danderyd Hospital as a model. Efforts have been directed towards the wards where ideas are identified and commercialized and medical technology companies and entrepreneurs supported by risk analysis, usability analysis, klinikska trials etc. By studying these processes and develop these SLL Innovation could be built up as a county wide activities.
